Freezer is only 9 months old and randomly stops working, gets to 40-70 degrees in the freezer and will eventually start working again. Had the service tech come out today and was told there isn't anything they can do because it was working. Said he would order a new board because that is probably the issue. Just received an email stating that they will not order any parts. So I paid over $800 for a freezer that I can't rely on, is still under warranty but can't be fixed and randomly stops working. What am I supposed to do? I can not recommend this freezer or service.

This is a nice freezer! We have it under our carport and it is keeping the temperature even during this heat wave we are experiencing in southern Louisiana. It replaced a chest freezer that still worked well but was rusting and building up so much ice that I could not get frozen items unstuck! it sat on the carport for over ten years. Since this one is garage ready, so I hope it lasts even longer. So far, I love it!

So very pleased with Lowe's delivery of our upright garage ready freezer, great size to hold our produce out of the garden, very excited to fill it with goodness so we can eat that food over the colder months. Due to the great size we will be able to freeze a lot plus buy meat on sales as well. LOVE IT.

The freezer takes up little floor space but looks great in my garage. The door seal is significant so that I need to carefully open it to avoid pulling hard enough to dislodge items inside That is a plus for me because it keeps the inside temperature more constant. So far the freezer has been a very good investment.

Not happy at all, just bought this freezer 18 months ago and the compressor is gone. I didn't buy the extended warranty so I am out $850.00 in an 18 month span, they just don't make things the way they use too. Will never buy another GE appliance!

We like our purchase of this freezer so far.
It's just two of us so the size is perfect.
The only issue was the delivery of the freezer.
We are seniors and they just dropped it off in the box. I read in the purchase agreement that it was going to be plugged in and working before they left. I was left with getting rid of all the packing material.

Installation was as expected. Has adjustable front feet. Controls on the front door are intuitive and simple. Racks seem to be just the right number and placed logically. Bins on the door is a nice feature. The best part of it so far is that it is simple. The manual only 7 pages with maybe 1 page on how to use it. Even registering it was easy...just scan a QR code and the model and serial number are already populated. Love it so far!y

This freezer is pretty similar to other lower brand uprights of the same size, but what the ge name brand got us over our old midea is better customer service and a broader feature set. The door alarm would have saved us in the past. Now with this freezer, we have it!

I wanted an upright freezer for garage. This one is frost free, has an interior light, a lock and is designed for optimum storage. It's not too big and it is garage rated. Best of all it's a GE. I've used it now for a couple of months and I love it. I can buy when things are on sale and, here in Arizona, I can always have enough ice cream!

This is the BEST freezer I've ever bought. Alarm goes off when the temp drops. It tells you when the door is left ajar. Don't have to worry about ice build up which is what my other garage freezer did.

The new freezer has more space than our last freezer. The bottom shelf pulls out, which we like. The adjustment is located on the outside of the door along with a low temperature alarm.

After two years enjoying our small GE chest freezer, it was time to upgrade to this beautiful upright. 1 month in, we're very happy with our decision. Love the internal light, the tight door seal and it's thoughtful shelf/basket setup. Frost free is a new feature for us, and much appreciated.

Bought this freezer brand new, no discount not on sale from Home Depot, had it delivered and it came broken, thermostat and something else is broken. I filled it up didn't realize the problems it froze everything to -20 degrees, everything has freezer burn and every few hours the alarm button goes off and doesn't stop. So waking up multiple times in the night to shut it off. One of there repair ppl came out to fix, couldn't fix it then said he needed to reschedule for a few weeks later and order parts, parts came in and they canceled there schedule service Tech do to personal reasons on there part and they rescheduled for 2 more weeks away. So In the grand scheme of things I paid full price for a product that will be refurbished, and I got freezer burn food and had to go turn off the annoying alarm every few hours for atleast a month. Every time I walk in my house the alarm is going off. Smh horrible product and customer service.

I already have 1 of these and it works perfectly fine without issue. I ordered a 2nd freezer and didn't notice until a few months later with a ton of ice build up that the door doesn't seal properly and cannot lock. And then to schedule a service it is over a month wait...
